RURAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

WHO

  • Individuals with incomes at or below 200% of the poverty level. Agricultural worker program requires applicant to have done a substantial amount of seasonal farm, ranch or other agricultural work within the past two years.

WHAT

  • Agricultural Workers Program: Program offers opportunities for workers or qualifying family members to improve earning ability in agriculture or to find work outside of agriculture. Participants may choose to attend a vocational, technical or trade school for short-term job training or to enter a work-related college program. 

  • Access Opportunities: One track is work experience with wage subsidies; REO places the participant into on the job training and pays 100% of training wages. The other track is a short term training program; REO helps pay for short-term training that will lead to employment upon completion.
